The Růžové (“Rose“) Valley is the oldest part of Rotava (originally named Na Hamru – Am Hammer). A lot of foamy slag from iron ore smelting may be found in the bed of Rotavský Creek. The Rose Valley as it appears today is the result of a housing development built a hundred years ago for the office workers of the ironworks in Rotava.
