Muzeum Horní Blatná

The museum is housed in a listed townhouse with a half-timbered floor, dating from the mid-18th century. The brick house with vaulted ceilings on the ground floor and a coffered ceiling above the staircase is part of the Wolf's Pit educational trail. It is located on the street leading to Blatenský vrch.The exhibition consists of the history of the town of Horní Blatná and the history of tin mining and processing in the town and its surroundings (Boží Dar). The exhibition also includes tin products, minerals from the surrounding area and large models of the town and the lookout tower on Blatenský vrch. Documents relating to local native Hans Soph are also on display here.

In 2018, the entire building was reconstructed in cooperation with the town and the public benefit company Montanregion Krušné hory - Erzgebirge, and in October the museum was ceremonially opened with a new exhibition. The exhibition consists of exhibits from the Karlovy Vary and Sokolovské museums and items from local citizens. On display are Ore Mountains bobbin lace, silver and tin dishes, and models of a reversible water wheel and a mine pump with augers.
